Ross 'The Boss' Burkinshaw - Professional Boxing Star

Introduction

Ross 'The Boss' Burkinshaw is a promising young boxer from the Stocksbridge and Deepcar area of Sheffield, England. 'The Boss' is 20 years old and has been boxing since the age of 8, having his first amateur fight at the age of 11.

In 2003 'The Boss' joined the Second battalion light infantry and started boxing for the British Army Boxing team in 2004. 'The Boss' will be moving to the Rifles regiment in the Army in February and they are also allowing him the time to train at home for his professional boxing career.

'The Boss' marked his professional debut with an impressive 60 second 1st round KO of Rob Bunford from Wales, at the Barnsley Metrodome on 3 November 2006. Before turning pro 'The Boss' had an impressive amateur record and was twice the Combined Service Boxing champion in the army. 'The Boss' was also A.B.A Finalist in 2005 and A.B.A semi-finalist in 2006.

'The Boss' boxes out of the Sheffield Boxing Centre in Hillsborough and is trained and Managed by Glyn Rhodes and his promoter is Frank Malloney.
